    Colliers International Valuation & Advisory Services is currently seeking a Valuation Specialist for its Kansas City office.

    Key Responsibilities - The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate core competencies in the following areas:
    • Preparation of appraisal reports
    • Develop, manage and maintain client relationships
    • Coach, train, and mentor Intermediate Appraisers and Analysts by transferring skill and knowledge and reviewing their results
    • Develop, in collaboration with senior leadership, a strategic growth plan for the market, which includes short and long-term action plans and financial goals.

    Requirements - The successful candidate will possess the following required degrees, certificates or competencies:
    • Certified General or Trainee Appraiser license
    • MAI or MAI candidate
    • Strong communication and analytical skills
    • Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
    • Strong work ethic and desire to take their valuation career to the next level.

    Personal Characteristics - The successful candidate will embody key attributes or characteristics in the following areas:
    • Ability to multi-task, managing several projects at once.
    • Uncompromised ethics and integrity.
    • Additional computer proficiency is required with an ability to research multiple subjects on the internet and manipulate graphics.
    • Candidate must be self-starter who is well-organized, self-motivated, efficient, responsible, and dependable. The candidate must also be able to take directions and have adequate interpersonal skills.

    National commercial mortgage lending group seeks MAI senior appraiser to develop and maintain commercial real estate appraisal & environmental policies/procedures in conformity with applicable laws and regulations.  Responsible for the selection of third- party appraisal and environmental consultants, and the review of said appraisals on a nationwide basis for loan originations ranging from $500,000-$20 million.

    This professional must have proven national appraisal exposure in a variety of income-producing properties, as well as significant knowledge of ASTM & CERCLA  environmental practices/procedures.  Reporting to the chief credit officer, this individual should have previous employment experience with a regulated financial institution, and preferred staff management skills, in order to build-out the department in support of a loan origination staff, located in various major markets, as well as strong computer skills, including ARGUS & RIMS.

    Responsibilities for this role include:

    ·       Review valuation reports for completeness, quality, and USPAP compliance

    ·       Provide guidance to appraisers during the valuation process

    ·       Provide customer service to clients in a professional and timely manner

    ·       Knowledge base and communication skills to follow-up with clients and appropriately resolve errors and discrepancies.

    ·       Evaluate appraisal and valuation standards, guidelines, techniques, and methods for conformance, procedures, and applicable laws and regulations.



    Qualified candidates will possess a General Certified license, MAI designation and ten years of experience. The candidate will demonstrate effective verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills, and must be a self-starter with superior organizational and analytical skills with a keen attention to detail and quality.
